RSS
You’ve seen the acronym all over the web, but what the heck is RSS? Well, it stands for Really Simple Syndication and is based on XML (Extensible Markup Language) format. RSS is basically used for syndicating your web content to other users who may be interested in it. An RSS service or RSS channel consists of a headline, description and a link to the content of a web page.
To use RSS, you need a news aggregator or reader that allows you to subscribe to your favorite RSS feeds. Thus you can consolidate all the headlines and stories from different web sites all in one place.
